Bouquet Subscriptions

Following the model of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), we offer a flower CSA, also known as a bouquet subscription.  A CSA is a great way to support local farmers by investing early in the season, helping to support the farm with upfront costs like seeds, compost, soil amendments, and other supplies.  In return for your investment, you will receive fresh, beautiful flowers from our fields.

We grow many different varieties of specialty cut flowers, fillers and greenery, mingled together in textures, colors and scents.  All of our blooms are nurtured and grown sustainably, without chemicals, keeping the Earth in mind.  The bouquets are designed with the freshest ingredients from our farm and will come to you as large, lush market bouquets, bursting with color, wrapped in craft paper.  They will be delivered to a host location(s) around Washington for you to pick up on a weekly or bi-weekly basis throughout the season.   Simply fill a vase with fresh water, trim the ends of the flower stems and place in the vase for a beautiful addition to your home or office.

By purchasing a Bouquet Subscription, not only will you get our gorgeous flowers, but you also become part of the positive change to protect the Earth, by reducing the carbon footprint of traditionally purchased flowers, which incur huge transportation, energy, refrigeration and storage costs.  And, flowers are shown to increase happiness and because the subscription lasts the entire growing season, they are great gifts!

FAQs

When and where can I pick up my bouquet subscription?

We partner with local businesses that work with us as hosts for pick up locations, including The Washington Coffee Shop and CrossFit Washington (CFW members only). The first confirmed pick-up date will be communicated to subscribers via email 7 - 10 days prior.

What if I can’t pick up my flowers on the designated pick-up day/time?

If you are going on vacation or won’t be able to pick your bouquet, we encourage you to send a friend or neighbor to pick up on your behalf.  We are unable to hold bouquets past the designated pick-up date/time.  Additionally, we cannot extend additional bouquets to accommodate missed pick-ups since our seeding and planting schedules are finalized months in advance in order to plan our subscriptions accordingly. And please keep in mind that our partners have volunteered their spaces to host our pick-ups and they will not be responsible for keeping flowers overnight.  Any bouquets not picked up, will be donated to a staff member at the pick-up location, which is sure to brighten their week!

Do you offer delivery?

Yes! New for 2025 we’re offering delivery for bouquet subscriptions! For those that opt into delivery, there will be a $5 delivery fee, per bouquet, added to your subscription order. At this time, we can only accommodate delivery to the 63090 zip code. Deliveries will be on Friday mornings. If no one will be available to accept delivery, a bucket/vase of water must be left at the delivery location. Sweet Soil Farm & Flowers, LLC is not responsible for replacing bouquets that were without water or left outside during unfavorable weather conditions.

What happens to my share if a natural disaster occurs that wipes out the flowers?

Our crops are entirely field grown and we are at the mercy of Mother Nature.  While we make efforts to mitigate losses, weather (drought, hail, etc.) and pests can impact our crops and availability of flowers for the subscription.  Signing up for the subscription means you share in both the risk and rewards of farming with us.  We will endeavor to be prepared for what nature has in store.

How do I care for my flowers?

After picking up your flowers, place them in clean water as soon as possible after giving the stems a fresh cut.  Keeping any leaves/foliage above the water line will help keep the water fresh.  Be sure to change the water regularly to keep bacteria from clogging the stems.  Your flowers will be happiest kept cool and out of direct sunlight.  Some blooms last longer than others, so simply remove any that look less than pristine, keeping the remaining flowers giving you a new, refreshed bouquet throughout the week.

Can I order extra flower to pick up with my share?

Absolutely!  If you would like additional flowers for a party or to give as a gift, just send us an email and we’d be happy to add an additional bouquet to your share. And take a look at our Bulk Event Flowers page if you’re in need of more flowers.

What is the cancellation policy?

Once the season has begun we cannot provide refunds unless there is someone on the wait list who is willing to take it over.  Please contact us if unforeseen circumstances arise and you are unable to fulfill your commitment. We will happily work with you to provide the best outcome for both parties, but ultimately it is at the discretion of Sweet Soil Farm & Flowers, LLC to provide refunds once the season has started. A $25 administrative fee would be charged.

What are my responsibilities as a Bouquet Subscription member?

As a Bouquet Subscription member, you are responsible for:

  • Picking up your flowers at the designated time and place or designating someone else to pick it up on your behalf

  • For those selecting delivery, please include a vessel with water at the delivery location, should no one be home to accept delivery.

  • Notifying us of any problems with your share within 24 hours of pickup

Additionally, our responsibilities are to:

  • Provide members with fresh, quality cut flowers

  • Have the bouquets ready at the designated time and location

  • Deal with any issues or concerns in a timely manner

Farming involves many weather related risks and consistent quantities of harvest cannot always be guaranteed. While we strive to provide the best bouquets every week, there is the possibility of unforeseen weather related issues causing us not to be able to fulfill our weekly offering. This is part of the risk members take in being a Bouquet Subscription member, although since we grow such a wide variety of flowers and fillers, we don’t anticipate being unable to provide members their bouquets.

How will I be alerted to any changes or update relating to my share?

We communicate with members via email.  It is the responsibility of the members to read emails in a timely fashion as they pertain to the subscription. We also have a Facebook page and an Instagram account, where we post photos and share happenings from the farm.
